The wait is over! Opening Night of the 2011 Film Festival is finally here! We are celebrating by screening two fantastic films: Cars 2 and Buck.

We are thrilled to be able to host the East Coast premiere of Cars 2! Also featuring the voice talent of Michael Caine and Emily Mortimer. Sponsored by Cape Air, Writer of Cars 2 and New Voices in Screenwriting Honoree, Ben Queen, will be in attendance. RUSH TICKETS ONLY for Opening Night at the Sconset Casino. You can still buy tickets to the screening on Saturday, June 25th, at 10:30AM at the Sconset Casino.

Our second Opening Night film is Buck. This fascinating documentary is about Buck Brannaman, a man who possesses near magical abilities as he dramatically transforms horses and people with his compassion and respect. Buck is a man who overcame a painful childhood to become a teacher who motivated all he encounterd. In association with Nantucket Dreamland, Buck's triumphant story is the inspiration for Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer. Director Cindy Meehl and Producer Julie Goldman will be in attendance. Tickets are still available for Opening Night at 8:00PM at the Nantucket High School. The 2nd screening of Buck on Friday, June 24th at 5:00PM at the Starlight Theater is RUSH TICKETS ONLY.
