You don't want to miss the outstanding music of Sierra Hull and her band!
Harking back to the golden era of live radio, the Fog and Flounder Radio Hour celebrates sketch comedy writing with amazing actors, old friends, special guests, and musical performances guaranteed to bring down the house.
Don’t miss the high-brow hijinks of Tom Bodett, regular panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!, classic sketches from The Ed Sullivan Show dusted off and given fresh treatment for Fog and Flounder by the incomparable Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller, and the foot-stomping rhythms of bluegrass mandolin sensation Sierra Hull and her band. Hull made an auspicious debut at the Grand Ole Opry with Alison Krauss at the ripe old age of 11—and has been attracting an international following ever since!
Fast-paced sketches will include hilarious bits written and performed by an ensemble of actors, including veterans of the Upright Citizens Brigade (Meghan O’Neill) and The Onion (Dan Mirk and Sascha Stanton-Craven). Additional material has been generated by Nantucket teens working in one of this year’s NFF Teen View Writing Labs. It’s the great American radio show, Nantucket style, and it’s sure to be a hoot!
