ROGER ROSS WILLIAMS
Roger Ross Williams is an Oscar, Emmy, NAACP Image, and Peabody award-winning director, producer, writer, and the first African American director to win an Academy Award, with his film Music by Prudence (2010). Williams directed Life, Animated (NFF 2016) which was nominated for an Academy Award and won three Emmys. His prolific body of work includes Stamped from the Beginning, Cassandro, The Super Models, and High on the Hog.
DR. IBRAM X. KENDI
Dr. Ibram X. Kendi is the author of Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, which won the National Book Award for Nonfiction. He also authored the international bestseller How to Be an Antiracist, which was described in the New York Times as “the most courageous book to date on the problem of race in the Western mind.” Kendi has written over 16 books, including 10 New York Times bestsellers.
SUNNY HOSTIN
Emmy Award winner and New York Times bestselling author Sunny Hostin has been a co-host of The View since 2016. She previously served as a host and legal analyst at CNN. Hostin is founder and CEO of Sunny Hostin Productions, a global, multiplatform media company that produces content highlighting social justice issues and underrepresented groups. Hostin is also a former trial attorney and federal prosecutor with the United States Justice Department. During her time as an assistant U.S. attorney, she was awarded the Special Achievement Award by the attorney general for her prosecution of child sexual predators.
