NFF 2023 Policies & FAQ
When is the #NFF2023
#NFF2023 will take place June 21 – 26.
Where is NFF 2023 taking place?
The festival this year will be back screening films at the Dreamland, and just added we will be returning to the White Heron Theater on the Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the Festival. This year Screenwriters Tribute will once again be out in Siasconset at the ‘Sconset Casino. Additional venues will be announced this May.
When does the films and events get announced?
This years film and signature programs will be announced on April 26th, with additional announcements coming in May. Our schedule of events will be announced on May 17.

When can I purchase passes, packages, and tickets?
Passes for the Festival are currently on sale. Ticket Packages will go on sale April 26th 12 noon. Individual tickets go on sale May 25th at 12 noon.
When does registration and the box office open on island?
Our box office located at 12 Oak Street will open on June 14th. Registration will open for Pass-holders on June 18th.
Box offices at the venues will open approximately 30 mins prior to the first event of the day, and will close 30 mins after the last event starts.
Are there discounts available?
The festival offers up to a 50% discount tickets and a special discount ticket package for island residents. You must have a valid ACK drivers license in order to receive this discount. You can apply here>
What is the refund policy?
All pass, package, and ticket purchases are final upon payment and non-refundable.
What are the admission policies?
To guarantee admission all pass and ticket holders must be present in line at the venue at 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. We reserve the right to sell any empty seats after that time. Late seating is at the discretion of the venue management team and is not permitted 30 minutes after the start time of any screening or event.
What is the difference between First Entry, Preferred Entry, and General Entry?
First Entry is only available for Founder and Legacy Pass-holders. Pass-holders at this level will be allowed to enter the venue and wait in a designated area, and will be let into the theater at the time that the venue staff opens the doors. Entry is allowed only by the discretion of the venue staff.
Preferred Entry is only available for Patron Pass-holders or equivalent ticketless access passes. Pass-holders will be asked to get on the designated line at the venue. Pass-holders will be given preferred access off the line for up to 15 mins before the scheduled start time of the film or event.
General Entry is off the ticket-holder line at the venue. All ticket-holders must be present in line at least 15 mins prior to the scheduled start time to guarantee admission.
What does RUSH mean?
This means that advance tickets for a screening are no longer available. Rush Tickets are tickets that are sold after all Ticket and Pass Holders have entered the theater and there are empty seats to sell (Like a stand-by line at the airport).
How do I RUSH at NFF?
For all screenings and events where there are no longer advanced tickets available for purchase – we highly encourage guests to make use of our successful Rush Sales policy. Rush Sales Lines will form at the venue approximately 45 minutes prior to the scheduled event start time at the venue. If there is availability in the theater, after pass and ticket-holders have been seated, the venue staff will sell the vacant seats approximately 5-10 minutes before the event’s start time. Admission is not guaranteed. Rush Sales are limited to one (1) ticket per person. We accept the following payment methods: cash or credit card.
Please follow the below steps to fulfill your ticket package. If you have any further questions or issues please contact us either through the chat function on our website or by calling or emailing us. Please understand we will do our best to get back to you within an hour during regular business hours (12 pm – 6 pm; Monday – Friday).
1. Click “SIGN IN” at the top right-hand corner of this screen, and sign in with the email and password you purchased your package with. Be sure to select the “Continue with Elevent” Button. ***If you initially registered with Facebook or Google, please use those buttons to log in. Once signed in, you will still see “SIGN IN” at the bottom right. Don’t worry! The next step will properly verify you have logged in.
2. Go to either our film guide or signature program page. Linked below:

3. Find the film or program you would first like to select a ticket for, click on the even name, and you will be directed to the event page.
4. Scroll down to the bottom of the film or event page, and you will find a gray box with text that reads, “You have packages that are eligible to be used for this event. Click here to begin fulfilling your package.”
5. Click to fulfill your package. The package you purchased will appear and once you select “confirm,” you will now be able to select tickets within your package.
You will need to follow these steps each time you log in to fulfill your package, but you will not need to log in for each selection you make. Only if you choose not to select all your tickets in one session.

Garden Series includes 2 events this year: Late Night Storytelling, and The Politics of Food with Ruth Reichl + Nantucket Island Food Tasting.

How can I attend?
You can attend these events by purchasing a Founder, Legacy, Patron pass, or Discovery Package. Passes are for sale here, ticket packages are on sale here. Individual tickets can be purchased through the individual film or event page. All tickets include wine, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres at each event.
Will the Garden Events be canceled if it rains?
Attendees will be notified in advance in the unlikely event of cancellation due to severe weather conditions.
Are chairs provided or do we bring our own?
You will not need to bring anything to the event, we will provide chairs at all Garden Events.
Can I reserve a specific seat in advance?
We do not offer venue seating selections/reservations. All seating is first-come, first-served.
How early may I arrive at each home?
We recommend arriving 15 minutes prior to the event’s start time to allow for time to park. Doors will open at the list time on your ticket. Doors will open at the discretion of the Festival staff.
Is parking available at each home?
Parking will be available at each home. Parking instructions will vary and will be noted in your ticket confirmation.
If I misplaced my email confirmation and ticket, can you look me up on-site?
Venue staff will have the ability to look up orders on-site. However, to prevent delays in entry we highly recommend contacting boxoffice@nantucketfilmfestival.com in advance if you misplaced your confirmation email. They will be able to resend your confirmation and ticket.
Are Garden Event and Screenwriter invitations transferable?
Yes, Garden Event Invitations are transferable.
Will there be food and beverages provided at the events?
Each event will feature a uniquely curated menu of hors d’oeuvres, signature cocktails, wine, and soft drinks. Lunch will be served at lunchtime events.
Will there be restrooms available for use at each home?
Yes, there will be restrooms at all homes.
NFF is following all required COVID-19 health and safety protocols in compliance with the Massachusetts State Department of Health guidelines.
To facilitate contactless entry, all tickets and passes are digital. Venue capacity limits will be enforced.
Non-vaccinated guests are encouraged to wear a face covering, except when actively eating or drinking.
By attending Festival events, guests are confirming they currently do not have COVID-19 or have not been in close contact (as defined by the CDC) with someone who has COVID-19 within the last 14 days.
Guests are expected to comply with all laws, rules, and regulations, as well as any NFF and/or venue safety guidelines (not limited to the above), and to act responsibly.
